Our Read-in-Pictures™ feature originated when our founder, Carol Hale, was teaching a dyslexic student who struggled to retain phonograms she had just taught using traditional Orton-Gillingham methods. Although he could not recall the letter combinations, he easily remembered the cartoons on the page. This observation led to a breakthrough: using cartoons that represent and are shaped like, the letter or phonogram, and keyword for each lesson.
These pictures help the dyslexic learner to connect the symbols (letters) neurologically to the sounds, words, and meanings they represent. Dynamic Dyslexic Reading follows the principles of the Science of Reading and utilizes the Orton Gillingham multi-sensory technique for a unique and effective learning experience.
Our program consists of six workbooks, three flashcard decks, colorful classroom posters, and one coloring book that will teach your student every letter and letter combination in the English language.
